Nowadays with the development of the economy, eixting cities are growing bigger and bigger and new cities are appearing. What do you think one of the major problems that result from this process of urbanization?
Nowadays people in signaficant numbers are getting to be aware of a popular word "urbanization". Along with the development of economy, exiting cities are growing bigger and bigger and new cites are appearing. Confronting this trend, some people believe that it is beneficial for Chinese economic development, while other afraid that some problems will occur going with urbanization. As far as I am concered, water is a major problem in the process of the urbanization.
We have to acknowledge that there is a large population in China and the lack of water source has been a serious problem that disturbs us. Especially in urban area, the phenomenon of water scarcity is more svere. After urbanization, there are more and more people flocking into city to earn their living so the water distributing to individuals are less and less. Besides, industrialization is another phenomenon of urbanization. Most of water is consumed by industries that drain a lot of dirty water into rivers at the same time. Pollution of water makes the lack of water more grievous.
So the major problem of urbanization that needs to be solved is how to utilize water resource effectively and how to protect water from being polluted. First of all, our government should constitute a series of laws that protect water resource. Secondly, some measures must be taken, such as enhancing the strength of flack, heightening the cost of using water so as to make people to economize water consciously.
From all statements above, we may draw a conclusion that the major problem that my result from the process of urbanization is water problem. If we want our economy to develop healthity, it is obligatory for us to use water properly.
