Overview of the CATIA MMLs

在Catia中有三类multi-model links(MMLs)

Reference-Instance link (Ref-Inst)

a contextual link between two parts created in the context of an assembly

One object, the target, references published elements of a source within an assembly context.

The link is stored by the target

For example:  a target part in an assembly references a sketch from a source part in the same assembly context

Reference-Reference link(Ref-Ref)

a noncontextual link between two documents(CATPart to CATDrawing or CATPart to CATPart) created without the context of an assembly

Instance-Instance link(Inst-Inst)

An Inst-Inst link is also known as a constraint
